A cute ETSY discovery: Pink Cheeks Studios

I absolutely melted when I spotted these creations by the Pink Cheeks Studios on Etsy. They are the little treasures by Nichol Brinkman from LA. With great imagination and skills she makes these original products. Highlights for me are most definately the family mobiles and these little paintings. Magnetic creativity to share with your kids

I must admit this is probably more something for big kids and most likely for creative moms. A few weeks ago I was shopping with my sister (mother of 2 little boys) and she pointed out to me that very often we like design type toys and kids prefer the most bold colors, cheapest plastic material and ugliest design. Never the less. I would feel it is my obligation to at least try to introduce them to well shaped toys that help them develop and that are a lust of my eye! Such as these TATLIN cardboard magnetics by Kidsonroof from the Netherlands. There are three different type of sets: Tatlin Big, Archetype cars & boats and Archetype buildings.

I love opening new doors online. Often I forget the road I had taken to get to a certain website. One thing I do know this time. I found this brand on the Finnish blog Bee and Bambi. Endless hours of fun and play with these XL coloring prints

How amazing are these supersized coloring pictures by KEK AMSTERDAM. Available in the prints To the stars, In the forest and In the city. Make sure the older kids don't have any homework that needs to be done first because once you get started there is no stopping to see the result grow and grow. A great idea to keep kids entertained without anything starting with an 'i'.
Another thing I love about these is the price. For only € 7,95 you don't have to break the bank to get your own.

The best and the worst

The best thing about 10IS (pronounced Ten-is) is their collection. They have a color and style for every ones. And I will find it hard to believe that you cannot pick a favorite one. At the same time the worst thing about 10IS is their collection. So much to choose from that it is making my eyes blurry. Do you go for jeans, or coral and maybe the green ones... Hoping and dreaming and someday maybe sleeping....

Imagine having creative parents. And than imagine a creative parent that is also very DIY handy or has the number of a great carpenter. It's combinations like these that result in sleeping arrangements such as this HUT. It was posted last march on OEUF le blog and although many tutorials were requested no reply could be found. So if you don't have the above mentioned parent you're stuck watching this image and hoping and dreaming....

Dress me up in handmade

If you're a lover of something original for your little girls than Two Els is an online must visit. This brand founded in NYC only started this summer with their first collection. But how promising was it and is their new preview of the autumn/winter season. It's clothes that put a smile on my face and that will suit the cheeky little girls really well. I'm an all boys mom otherwise these would go straight to my wish list.

Throw me a monkey

 

What a great new find. It's hard to not fall instantly in love with these cute little monkey blankets from Sweden. Made by Minifellow from 100% jaquard woven cotton and produced in Sweden. I already have so many bankets for babies but am very tempted to add this to the endless list. Baby light blue works best for me but I also find that the licorice dark grey colored one will work very well with the trend you see in black and white decorations for kids rooms.

Continue the night with your head in the clouds

Don't get me wrong. I'm over the moon happy with the blue skies we're having over the Netherlands these days. Didn't mind the clouds and rain either cause it already was soo much better than the haze we experienced in Singapore.
But when clouds come as cute as these I have to give them a spot on my blog. Spotted on Pinterest which lead me to this site that sells them. This pretty headboard allows you to not only spend the days with your head in the clouds but also the nights.

I can highly recommend lötiekids

Sometimes I get some products from a sponsor. I enjoy that because of course I love a present now and than and second because I get to test their products. And in all fairness... it's easier to recommend something if you've tried it yourself.
For lötiekids clothes from Barcelona my little boy was the one to do the testing. We've tried some shirts and shorts and I must say I really really love them. The material is really soft and holds well after washing, as well as the colors. And they've thought of little ones by putting buttons around the neckline making it easy to put on and off. What I personally like is the amazing prints. Beautiful detailed fishes, bikes, houses and now with the new collection sea stars and kangaroos.
Luckely I'm not the only one loving the lötiekids products. I've spotted some other (Dutch) users in my Instragram feed and they are also very fond of this brand. 

A kids play, learn, read area

We all know the old school tables and chairs for kids that are really cute. But the style doesn't fit in every interior anymore. I really enjoy looking at these colorful and straight lined designs by Small-Design from Denmark. You can choose your own color and combine the table with a little sofa or a bench. Great fun for kids and lovely design for the parents.

Goodnight sweetheart, sweet dreams...

After all the amazing Animal bedding by By Nord and the affordable look a likes by H&M home it's time to treat the kids to what they REALLY like. Sleeping like a true Astronaut or a Princess in a dream pink dress would be a huge treat for a kid. The Dutch brand SNURK has made this possible by expanding their 'for horizontal living' collection with these kids line.

A great campaign for a Kids Concept store

I really like this campaign I spotted at WeWantWow. It's from BonBon on the Block a shop in Rotterdam, the city where I lived in The Netherlands. It shows dads that dress their kids photographed in their own home. Such a fun, everyday, normal, not overstyled way to do it.
Also like what Vincent has to say about his kids 'The kids confront us both with our short comings as talents as a parent'.  

An easy dose of adding some color

Such a cute decoration idea for adding a bit of color to a room or a party. A garland of colorful felt in circles and traingles. Available at the Land of Nod in every color you can think of. The Land of Nod is also one of the Instagram accounts that I really enjoy following. They are opening a few new shops in the US and show you in steps how they DIY decorate them.
